Worship & Music
Purpose:
The committee is responsible for scheduling and providing for the worship of the
congregation, including the proclamation of the Word through word and music, and the
administration of the Sacraments. Its duties include the areas below.
  • Worship services

  • Sanctuary Guild
  • Wedding Committee
  • Interior Decorating & Arts Committee
  • Organ

Stewardship & Finance
Purpose:
The Stewardship and Finance Team is responsible for the proper administration of the
church’s business, especially as it applies to financial management and stewardship.
Committee duties include the following:
  • General Administrative
  • Financial Management
  • Stewardship program

Fellowship
Purpose:
The TEAM is responsible for creating fellowship opportunities for the congregation so
that members may grow in knowledge of and affection toward one another, thereby
enhancing opportunities to minister one to another and encouraging them to join
together in ministry to others.

Nurture
Purpose:
The Nurture Committee cares for all members of the church with special attention given
to those who are sick, shut-in, and grieving. This committee’s duties include:
  • General Care of members
  • Shut-ins
  • Grief support
  • Transportation committee
  • General growth
  • Miscellaneous

Christian Education
Purpose:
The purpose of the Christian Education Team is to provide programs and opportunities
that encourage members of all ages to come to a fuller understanding of what it means to
be Christian in today’s world and a participant in the life of the Body of Christ and to
develop a personal faith that will sustain them in their journey through life. The Director
of Children and Youth Ministries shall serve as an ex-officio member of this committee.

Building & Grounds
Co-Chair - Phil Beckwith, Kevin Cribbs
Purpose:
The committee is responsible for the management of the church’s property, which
includes buildings, grounds, furnishings and equipment. It shall determine the
appropriate use of church buildings and facilities. It shall supervise the church’s custodial
staff.


Meeting:  on the second Sunday of every month.

Assimilation
Purpose:
This committee is responsible for providing opportunities for members to learn and
practice evangelism so that they may be better equipped to articulate their faith, to
witness in word and deed to the saving grace of Jesus Christ, to invite the un-churched
into a new life in Christ and to assimilate new members into the life and ministry of the
church. Its duties include:
  • Care of members
  • First time visitors (Bread ministry)
  • Outreach to un-churched and prospective members
  • Receiving and assimilating new members
  • Advertising and Public relations
  • Time and talent
  • Pictorial directory
  • Miscellaneous

Missions
Purpose:
The committee is responsible for challenging the congregation in ministries of personal,
social healing, and reconciliation in the communities in which St Andrews Presbyterian
Church bears witness, and to lead the congregation to participate in the mission of the
whole Church in the world.

Communications
Purpose:
The TEAM is responsible for over site of the weekly E-letter, review of any Session
correspondence and any congregational correspondence.

Purpose:
The Personnel Team is responsible for the proper administration and oversight of the
church’s staff.  Committee duties include the following:
