Ongoing Mission Opportunity for 2010-2011

Given the current state of the economy and the struggles
that the local food banks are having, we are going to
continue our food drive monthly. You will see some creative
challenges and themes, but in the larger picture, we are
hoping you will add an item or two each week to your own
grocery budget for those less fortunate. Just place your
items in the grocery cart.

Meals on Wheels Drivers Needed...
Drivers are needed to deliver meals in the Greer area! This
is only once a month for about one hour each time.

If you would like to serve those who don't have someone to
prepare meals for them or can't leave their homes for some
reason, you could serve in the very important mission
opportunity.

We have several people in our congregation who already
serve in this capacity and they can tell you what a blessing it
is to them. Contact Lee Sparano at 322-2528 and she will
give you all the information.

AstraZeneca Hope Lodge:

Most of you know Rachel Tate, chair of our Prayer and
Nurture Team, elder, and beloved member. For the last too
many years, her battle with cancer has taken her to Boston
for treatment many times. Her home away from home is the
AstraZeneca Hope Lodge.

We are asking that you consider a donation to the American
Cancer Society to be directed to the Hope Lodge as a sign
of gratitude for all or the hospitality and kindness they have
shown to Rachel over the years. It is truly an amazing place.

Donation envelopes will be available on Sunday and in the
Narthex after worship. If you would like more information, go
