 A Message from Jeff

Summer has come quick! If you do not believe me step outside and check the temperature. Along with the coming of Summer, things normally slow down around the church but that has not been the case at the Saint. A few examples:

  • Church Workday - June 21st
  • Monthly Wednesday Night Fellowship - June 25th
  • Greenville Drive Family Night - June 30th
  • Church-wide picnic after worship - July 13th

I know the beauty of these summer days and the cool lake waters can be inviting on Sunday's. I hope if you are in town you will continue to worship with us but if you are traveling, please find a place to worship. It can be exciting and renewing to visit a different community of faith, worship, and sense how the Spirit is working.

Please join us this Sunday as our youth will lead us in worship. They have just returned from a week at Montreat Youth Conference in Montreat, NC, with 1200 youth from around the country. They will share some of the music they learned and share how they experienced God during the week. A huge "thank you" to Kevin Cribbs and Amy Jackson for coordinating and providing guidance to our youth during the week. Please share your gratitude with them.

And one final thought... please remember to send in your stewardship pledge. Our ministry to the community continues even during the summer. We need your support to continue to further God's Kingdom.

Yours in Christ,

Jeff

Church-Wide Picnic Planned

Back by popular demand, we have scheduled our annual 4th of July Picnic at Herdklotz Park on July 13, 2008, immediately after worship.

The Fellowship Team will provide the Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, buns, tea and lemonade. We are asking you to bring a summer side dish to go with the Hamburgers and Hot Dogs.

For those who did not attend last year, Herdklotz Park is located at 126 Beverly Road, Greenville, SC, 29609 (off Rutherford Road across from the Farmer's Market at the bridge). The park has the following amenities: soccer fields, large and small shelters, playground, walking trail, sand volleyball and horseshoes.

We hope to see you there, so make plans to attend. If you would like more information about the park or the picnic, please feel free to contact Tara by email Tara@davidgreeneattorney.com or by phone at 350-0937.

Amy's Corner

We would like to thank EVERYONE who sent food items with us to Montreat. Everything was so good and we appreciate it all very much! We would also like to thank the entire church for supporting all of our fundraising events and for just supporting our young people and adults at the Montreat Youth Conference. Thank You!!

We sincerely hope that you will join us on Sunday, June 22, for Youth Sunday. These young people are working hard to make this worship service an enlightening experience for you. Please don't skip worship this Sunday, the kids have worked very hard to make this enjoyable for you and are looking forward to sharing what they learned at Montreat!
