Vision Sunday - June 1, 2008
I
want to remind you about our Vision Sunday, June 1st. We will have a free
lunch catered by Mutt's BBQ and all you have to do is answer these
simple questions:
- When did you come to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and
what brought you here?
- What is the most positive aspect of SAPC?
- What is the one thing SAPC should keep doing and/or
start doing?
- How are you helping SAPC further the Kingdom of God? How
would you like to help?
The format
will be a round table discussion led by a facilitator. Your answers will
be recorded and consolidated. I ask you to prayerfully think about your
answers because your answers will discern God's will for the
future vision of St. Andrews.
Please make every effort to be
here and if you have any questions, please ask me or Chris Brown.

the past eight months, Paul Thomas and the music he has given us at
the organ and piano, have been wonderful additions to our worship
services. The school year is ending for Paul, and he will spend the
summer at home in Charlotte.
Sunday
is his last day and we wish him a safe and blessed summer and
look forward to his return in the fall.
Thank

now.
Thank
you to all of those who participated. It was truly a blessing to be a
part of such an effort.
If
you are interested in participating in our monthly mission projects,
please call me at 864-609-5846 or email me at laschumars@charter.net. These projects are

Remember to Remember
One Memorial
Day, some children were asked what the holiday meant to them.
"That's
the day the swimming pool opens!" answered one eager boy. What he
didn't realize or appreciate was that he can freely go to the pool
because more than one million people have put their lives on the line to
preserve America's democracy. Many of them have died so citizens of
other countries might also enjoy the privilege of political, social and
economic freedom.
Memorial
Day is our opportunity to pause and remember the sacrifices of many of America's
best citizens. They made the supreme sacrifice on our behalf, so please
remember to honor these heroes on May 26.
