How to Join St Andrews Presbyterian Church There are three ways to join St Andrews:
- If you have never been baptized, you can join through the sacrament of baptism
- Transfer letter from your previous church -- If you can give us the name and address
of your previous church, our church administrator will contact your church and request a letter of transfer
- If you have been baptized but have not been active in a church, you can join by
reaffirming your faith in Jesus Christ
The process of joining is as follows:
- You appear before the Session and answer the following questions:
- Do you affirm your faith in Jesus Christ?
- Do you renounce evil in all its forms?
- Do you promise to participate in the mission and ministry of St Andrews
Presbyterian Church?
- If you answer the above questions in the affirmative, the session will accept you into
membership of the church
After meeting with the Session and completing the information package and spiritual gifts inventory, we will introduce you to the congregation during worship. A short litany is read and you are commissioned to go out into the world to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
If you are interested in joining our membership, please contact our Discipleship coordinator, Lisa Schumars by email at Lisa.Schumars@charter.net or call 864-420-2331

Wednesday September 8th we begin
practice for the new season at 7:30 PM in
the Sanctuary.
So, why can’t you join the choir?
“My voice is so tiny you’d never hear it.”
There’s safety in numbers and small voices
add up.
“But I’m not a soloist”.
Most of us aren’t. A church choir made up
entirely of soloists might be like a plate of
gravy with no meat or potatoes.
“But you’re all so good”
Most of us are just average people who share
a love of music, are willing to share what
talent we may have and work hard.
“I could never learn such difficult music”.
We spend about three weeks learning and
absorbing each anthem.
“I don’t read music”.
That is a legitimate concern but, we have
some very fine choir members that don’t read
music either, but pick it up quickly.
“But once in a while we have to go see Aunt
Gussie”.
Most choir members miss occasionally. We
just need to know in advance.
“Yes, but ………”
The excuses go on and on. Not every one has
been given musical gifts but, if you have, at
any level, and if you could be singing in the
choir but are not, you are missing an
enjoyable experience and a rewarding
avenue of Christian service.
No try outs are needed, just show up willing
to work and share. If you have questions see
me or any of the Choir members. We
welcome all who want to join us and make a
joyous noise unto the Lord.
