Blessing of the Animals
“Let all wild animals and small creatures and flying birds
praise the Lord.” (Psalm 148)
On Sunday, April 11th at 5pm at St. Andrews Presbyterian
Church in Taylors, SC, a “Blessing of the Animals”
ceremony will be held outside on the church grounds. This
event is free to the community. Attendees of this event are
responsible for their pets and animals, and are asked to
keep them restrained appropriately (e.g., leash, cage).
Various animal organizations will have animals available for
adoption. In addition, the Humane Society will be present to
accept donated items, such as laundry (liquid) detergent,
bleach, dog leashes (new or used), new or used pet
taxis/carriers (small, medium, and large), stainless steel
bowls (6 oz up to 32oz), paper towels, toilet paper, pooper
scoopers, dish sponges, liquid hand soap, hand sanitizer,
trash bags, and batteries (AA, AAA, 9-volt). St. Andrews
Presbyterian Church is located at 1860 Reid School Road
in Taylors, SC (at the intersection of State Park Road and
